Middle Tennessee High School Football Awards Banquet
Nashville Sports Radio presented awards to the top senior football graduates as selected by coaches from each area high school. Awards went to top drafted students by colleges and universities. AZZ GALV - Nashville Sounds Baseball Stadium
First Horizon Park is home of the Nashville Sounds triple-A baseball team. AZZ GALV is a Tennessee company that fashioned all of the interior and exterior galvanized steel for the facility. From signage to railings, artsy gates, light posts and detailing, AZZ GALV was the chosen fabricator. Paul J. Hughes Photography was selected to photograph all of those steel details for a national steel architecture competition among galvanized steel purveyors.

Paul J. Hughes Photography was selected as the official photographer for the B-58 Memorial dedication in McKinney, Kentucky. Over 200 friends, family members and public officials participated in a state road marker dedication commemorating the crash of an Air Force B-58 on a training mission in 1967. Vestas - Denmark
Tennessee wind farm: Nashville photographer Paul J. Hughes was hired to photograph a new wind turbine electric project in Tennessee by Vestas for an annual report publication. The 18 turbines stand 265 feet tall and generate electricity for middle Tennessee. Coverage included shots from atop one of the turbine housing units and various property landscape views.

Start-up collateral: Destined to be one of the nation's top sunroom manufacturers, All Seasons Sunrooms has begun soliciting for new dealers. Paul J. Hughes was hired through GRANDESIGN to write all the collateral material. This kit includes an introductory letter from the President, a two-sided 6 x 11 card with a perforated mail-back reply card, a 4-color display piece, a final note incentive folded card and various application materials.
All Seasons Sunrooms is a manufacturer based in Lexington, Kentucky. GRANDESIGN is an advertising graphic design firm.
The recruitment department at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky asked Paul Hughes to photograph summer interns for collateral alumni material.
House of Commons Films
Photography for a video documentary about the history of the Wyoming Big Horn and Wyoming historian Bob Edgar, who has collected and restored frontier buildings. Black and White stills and color transparencies were shot for inclusion in the video and accompanying book as well as project promotions. Six trips have been made to Wyoming for this extensive project. Paul Hughes also assists House of Commons for various projects on a consulting basis including Red Barn Radio, a weekly live Americana music show.
Web site & corporate collateral: Alfresco Pasta serves restaurants and other commercial food accounts across the Southeast. Crab ravioli, low-carb fusilli, pesto gnocchi, fettuccine, and more have been photographed in production from the blending of ingredients to the final table service.
Magazine editorial photography: When ARI of New Jersey was involved in the sales of new vehicles to the Tennessee Valley Authority, Paul J. Hughes shot photos of the ARI representative with Chattanooga TVA members for an upcoming national business magazine.
Paul Hughes and crew shot a full day with makeup and props with a tropical motif for a CD project. Digital and medium format transparency film was used.
Venture Inward Magazine
Two Paul J. Hughes stock photos were used for publication of the bi-monthly full-color international magazine Venture Inward. The photos depict a county fair ride spinning in motion and ice and snow in trees at Carter Caves State Park in Kentucky.
It's Just Lunch
It's Just Lunch is a national franchise dating service for busy professionals with over 60 locations. Paul J. Hughes was retained for Public Relations for all media releases and advertising purchases in the Nashville area. To date, the franchise company based in San Diego is responsible for over 10,000 marriages.
Hazleton Live! CD
"Kings of Instruments" refers to a dual instrument concert. Renowned theater organist Tom Hazleton performed live on a Moller Opus 11, 192 and on an Allen MDS 317 for this double CD issue. Photography and CD liner notes were created by Hughes for this release.

A new CD release by Nashville singer Jeffery Alfiero featured photography by Paul J. Hughes. Jeffery is the resident performer at Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant in Nashville. The photography included images from the recording studio as well as shots from Maggiano's.
Polaris & Victory
Paul covered the three-day Polaris ATV and Victory Motorcycle annual convention. Dealers were treated to real cross-country tracks to personally drive the latest Polaris and Victory models on the grounds of Opryland resort in Nashville. (Polaris and Victory are repeat customers).

Presidential Campaign News - Washington Post
Despite the outcome of his personal Greek tragedy, John Edwards was a political candidate at the time the Democratic party was vying for the Presidential office. A California political public relations firm hired Paul J. Hughes to photograph an event for the John Edwards for President campaign. Images were distributed to the media and published in national newspapers including the Washington Post.
Cumberland Falls Photo Award
At Cumberland Falls State Park photo competition, Paul Hughes was the winner of a 2nd Place award in the Scenic division. The winning photo was an abstract view of a remote off-trail waterfall in Laurel County, Kentucky.

Music City Star
Nashville's passenger rail service (the Music City Star) accepted the use of an ad campaign from Nossi College of Art's Advanced Advertising class. Every semester, the class taught by Nashville photographer Paul J.Hughes, creates an advertising campaign for area non-profit entities. The campaign for the Music City Star includes outdoor billboard creative designs, a radio commercial and newspaper-magazine print design.
Paul J. Hughes was one of eight Nashville photographers with work accepted for presentation in Nashville's Photomato gallery during the 2006 East Nashville Tomato Art Festival. The featured image was "Baby Yellow," a miniature yellow tomato covered with frost.
The debut CD "Generations" - by The New Kentucky String Ticklers - features the photography and CD album notes written by Paul J. Hughes. The CD includes twelve cuts by the Americana/Bluegrass trio Red Barn Radio Records) and recreates the sounds of the original String Ticklers from the 1930s. The CD was nominated for an International Bluegrass Association Best of the Bluegrass award for package design and received a first-place/gold ADDY award in the music packaging design category.
