What is "photojournalist" style as opposed to "traditional"?

PHOTOJOURNALISM is a news style of photography. It is produced in the way a journalist would write a story, capturing what a news photographer sees as the action unfolds...the little nuances of the day -- the flower girl looking in a hand held mirror -- the father of the bride getting his tie straight -- all the details as they happen.

TRADITIONAL style photography provides what every parent wants: group shots of family, poses of the bride in front of the alter, capturing the full length of the wedding gown. This style allows the photographer and the bride to work together to produce stunning poses and artistic creations.

What should I expect from a full coverage wedding?

1. Set-up one hour before the wedding. We strive to park and set up using the most discreet and out-of-the-way entrance to your venue.

Capturing the bride and maids of honor preparing for the ceremony.

Photographing the groom and his best man and other members of the party at the location where they are assembled.

2. Ceremony shots -- provided the church allows flash (some don't). We also use non-flash photography with additional cameras when the church does not allow flash. These shots will be planned with you prior to your wedding day. Shots may be from the balcony, up close or from mid-aisle positions.

Of course, the traditional down-the-aisle/post ceremony shots and any requested additional shots will be covered.

3. Group/family shots -- all the groups you'd like to have photographed. This of course is a concern by the couple due to time constraints. We often will shoot many of the group shots prior to the ceremony to expedite those shots. This gives you more time to shoot group shots after the ceremony and quickly move to the reception.

Your guests understand your need for group shots. A break from seeing the couple gives the guests some time to relax and await your arrival. We work to expedite all of the group shots needed before moving to the reception.

4. Reception - random candid shots of guests, cake cutting, flower and garter toss and if planned, your exit with bubbles, rice, etc. If there is a dance floor, we use a unique style of photography unseen elsewhere. Ask for details.

5. Album: you'll receive two embossed white wedding albums filled with 4x6 glossy bordered prints in clear 3 per page inserts. Additional prints in various sizes are also available online.

How many pictures will I get? Usually you'll receive a generous 425 to 450 final photos in a double album for a full coverage package.

Is black and white available?

In the digital age all color photos can be printed in black and white.

Is there a deposit to hire you?

Yes. We ask for a deposit of one third of the package price to reserve the day.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. Use any method of payment you wish.

Do we get CD's?

Yes. You will be given all of the images on a CD's at high-resolution with your album(s).

What if your equipment malfunctions?

With many years of experience, we use the top of the line quality cameras, lenses and flash components from Canon, Mamiya and others. There are always additional back-up cameras in our vast collection.

Can we order prints for relatives far away:

PACKAGES:

1. $1295.00 - four hours of photography, covering the ceremony, group shots at the alter and the reception. You receive 125 finished 4x6 glossy bordered prints arranged in our beautiful embossed and boxed wedding album with a CD.

2. $1650.00 - six hours of photography beginning with pre-ceremony dressing and preparations, the ceremony, group shots, photojournalist style photography of guests and incidentals including close-ups of flowers(one of our specialties)and the reception. 250 finished 4x6 glossy bordered prints in our elegant white wedding album and a CD.

3. $1895.00 - The best value -- Full day coverage beginning with the men dressing followed by coverage of the bride and her attendants prior to the ceremony. We cover all aspects of the day. You'll receive up to 450 bordered glossy 4x6 prints in two albums and CD's.

4. $2395.00 -- (Includes free engagement session). Full day coverage as above plus coverage of the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. You choose all the details through our extensive ala' carte system with detailed planning with you and/or your wedding consultant/planner. Tell us what you'd like to accomplish. You'll be rewarded with memories that will rival any celebrity wedding (we've shot those too)! Special films and digital effects are a normal part of this package. Ask for details and samples.

Engagement Portraits:

A very cost effective way to capture both of you is during my two-hour session. This session is discounted when purchased with wedding packages.
