3/10/2008 - The Tennessean
Paul J. Hughes was featured in the Sunday Tennessean Wedding section with a story about a military wedding photographed in Lebanon, Tennessee.
9/13/2007 - Huntsville Times
Astronaut Neil Armstrong, first man on the moon, photographed by Paul J. Hughes, was published in the Huntsville Times business section with a story pertaining to the NASA space program.
10/7/2006 - Tomato Art-fest
Paul J. Hughes was one of eight Nashville photographers with work accepted for presentation in Nashville's Photomato gallery display during the 2006 East Nashville Tomato Art Festival. Featured image was "Baby Yello," a miniature yellow tomato covered with frost.
5/5/2007 - 2007 Cumberland Falls Photo Award
At the 2007 Cumberland Falls, Kentucky Photo competition, Paul Hughes was winner of a 2nd Place award in the slide film Scenic division. The winning photo was an abstract view of a remote multi-tired waterfall in Laurel County, Kentucky.
10/5/2007 - John Edwards - Washington Post
A California political company hired Paul J. Hughes to photograph an event for the John Edwards for President campaign. Images were distributed to national media and published in newspapers including the Washington Post.
4/20/2007 - Music City Star
Nashville's new passenger rail service (the Music City Star) has accepted the use of an ad campaign from Nossi College of Art's Advanced Advertising class. Every semester, the class taught by Paul J.Hughes, creates an advertising campaign for area non-profit entities. The campaign for the Music City Star includes outdoor billboard creative designs, a radio commercial and newspaper-magazine print layouts.
8/14/2006 - College Instructor
Now teaching! Nashville photographer Paul J. Hughes is now a college level instructor at Nossi College of Art, an accredited four-year college for Multi-Media Design, Photography, Advertising and Graphic Arts.
5/10/2005 - CD Release
May 2005, The debut CD "Generations" - The New Kentucky String Ticklers - features the photography and CD text by Paul J. Hughes. The CD includes 12 cuts by the Americana/Bluegrass trio that hearkens the sounds of the original String Ticklers from the 1930's. From Red Barn Radio Records.
9/20/2006 - Nomination
The New Kentucky String Ticklers' CD has been nominated for an International Bluegrass Association Best of the Bluegrass award for package design. Paul Hughes provided the entire liner text and photography.
2/12/2006 - CD design wins award
The New Kentucky String Ticklers CD cover design has won a Gold ADDY award. Nashville, Tennessee photographer/writer/producer Paul J. Hughes wrote the liner notes and photographed the trio for the CD.
9/23/2006 - Studio Photography Magazine
Nashville Photographer Paul J. Hughes was featured in the latest issue of Studio Photography Magazine. The issue covers various techniques used by wedding photographers nationwide. Included was a photo of one of our outdoor weddings held in Smyrna, Tennessee.
